The Equus Projects dancers are New York City-based professional dancers who are also trained in natural horsemanship ground skills.

The company creates the choreography with horses, then fine-tunes the choreography and theatrical trajectory in the studio.

In The Fable, the performers are continuously merging horsemanship savvy with choreographic decision-making. In The Fable, the dancers are constantly shifting from  set choreographic interludes into improvised choreographic material.
